About us
Thank you for visiting Consignment Crossroads! This site was developed by Julie Hughes, owner and operator of Consignment Crossroads ... and mom.
Julie writes: I know from experience how quickly children outgrow their clothes. Once a child hits a growth spurt some items are bypassed, never to be worn or even have the original store tags removed! In January 2009 I started selling our new or barely used items in effort to recoup cash to use towards the next size of clothing items needed. I created an online resale website (TwoDollarSmart.com) which was an instant success. I was selling items before I could add more to the website. I was unable to keep up with the demand, thus, Consignment Crossroads was born. Consignment Crossroads offers a ‘crossroads’ where numerous buyers and sellers meet to recycle quality items. Consignment Crossroads’ goal is to provide a way to recycle those items and save money. This website is a low cost members site without the typical high prices nor high consignment split shared between the consignor and the consignment business. (A very common split is 60/40 which means the consignment shop would keep 60% of the selling price of each item, and the seller, or the consignor, would only receive 40 %.) My online version is the perfect option to buy and sell 24/7 without leaving the comfort of your own home. I hope you enjoy yourself, meet some wonderful people and find A TON of quality items. If you have any questions or comments or would like to share your experiences here, please send me or a member of the team a message.
Again, thanks for visiting! Check back often as items are added daily and there is much, much more to come!
